Eagle Square Langkawi

About this state
Eagle Square (Dataran Lang) greets arrivals near Kuah Jetty with a towering bronze eagle—the island’s namesake and a proud symbol of Langkawi. The open plaza faces the waterfront, where ferries, taxis and photo queues gather under tropical light.
It is less a quiet park than a welcome landmark: climb the steps for harbour views, watch boats cross the channel, and use it as a starting point before beaches, cable cars or island tours. Come early or late for softer light and fewer crowds around the sculpture.
Many island itineraries pause here first for a landmark photo, then continue inland toward beaches, cable cars and duty-free shopping.
