About this state

Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park is a cluster of five emerald islands just off Kota Kinabalu, Sabah—a favourite day trip for snorkelling, beaches and boat-hopping. Named after Malaysia's first prime minister, the park protects coral reefs and clear tropical waters within easy reach of the city jetty. Expect powdery coves, reef life and boat decks with distant views of Mount Kinabalu on clear days. Island-hopping packages usually cover Gaya, Manukan, Sapi and neighbouring shores, so you can swim, snorkel and picnic between short crossings.
