About this state
Lembah Bujang Archaeological Park preserves one of the Malay Peninsula’s major Hindu–Buddhist landscapes, with temple-base ruins and a museum that explains Kedah’s ancient trading polities. Long before Melaka’s fame, this valley linked Indian Ocean commerce, belief and craft across the northern plains and the Strait of Malacca.
Walk among candi foundations, study artefacts indoors, and picture pilgrims and merchants who once moved through these quiet fields. Visit for scholarly calm and a deep layer of Malaysian history that few coastal beach itineraries ever reach—bring curiosity, water and comfortable walking shoes.
