About this state
Jesselton Point is Kota Kinabalu’s main jetty for boats to Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park, lined with eateries and open sea views. Named for the city’s colonial-era name, it remains the practical launch pad for island-hopping days.
Buy tickets early, grab a waterside snack while waiting, and watch boats ferry snorkellers toward Gaya, Manukan and Sapi. Expect bustle, sea breeze and the classic start of a Sabah island day. Island packages are sold on-site and online; compare inclusions carefully, wear reef-safe sunscreen, and keep the morning ferry if you want longer snorkel time before afternoon winds rise.
